Description

CS 2410- Thesis Preparation GRAD

The Thesis program is fundamentally about the development of a set of beliefs. Students are expected to have a cumulative knowledge base paired with a unique and passionate perspective on their work. Thesis preparation asks that each individual stake a position based on their perspective and hold it up against a set of widely held beliefs. The thesis program involves the development of a thesis regarding architecture- as well as a design program and project that explores and tests it. The thesis is more than a theme-a site-or a specific type of program. It is a proposition regarding architecture that takes a specific position in a field of possibilities. It is a position that requires architectural exploration in order to understand it- test the possibilities- and recognize the limits of its application.
