    ?Building a Pterodactyl? - Course Description

    Eric Owen Moss? Pterodactyl Project ? an office building under construction in Culver City, CA, becomes a case study as the ?Building a Pterodactyl? course attempts to offer an insight into methods and benefits of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), Parametric/ Associative geometry modeling and the value of a Building Information Model (BIM) with emphasis on Structural Analysis and Fabrication.

    The course is to be taught as a collaboration between architect and structural engineer as a way to:

    1. Offer an opportunity for students to leave the classroom and participate in the on-going interaction between project architect, engineer, design team, contractor and fabricators through construction site visits, fabrication shop visits and discussions on design intent, structural and fabrication complexities.
