Short Description: Students will work with machine learning, structural analysis, layup scheduling, and robotics to explore automation as a design problem in advanced timber construction. Students will focus in resolving specific architectural tectonics and intersections of fundamental elements, like walls, slabs and columns. Additionally, students will prototype aspects of their designs at model and full scale, utilizing the school's robot facilities. This course is part of a larger research grant by the USFS.
