SCI-Arc Liberal Arts and General Studies

SCI-Arc is pleased to offer a 5-day masterclass with philosopher and scholar, Graham Harman, who will be visiting from October 1-5, 2015. For this 1-unit class, enrolled students will engage with Mr. Harman and other scholars on issues related to ontology, objects, and their potential relationships to architecture through discussions and written work. Students will be explicitly asked to speculate as discussants and interlocutors, and so, this course will be limited to students who can demonstrate a level of theoretical sophistication and dedication capable of producing discourse in such advanced topics. Enrolled students will also produce an informed 6-8 page paper, which will be read by Mr. Harman.
