Short Description: Noise is present within all communication networks, from the electromagnetic and the biological, to the socio-political and the technological; it marks the horizon of communicability beyond which we have only the unintelligible and unpredictable. It is catchall for what doesn’t fit our expectations, referring to the outliers, the excluded, the uncounted, that which is actively ignored and set aside, despite being immanent and intrinsic to communication itself.
