Description
This class will focus on the feedback between highly digital design production and the
output of scale models via CNC fabrication. In contrast to the high-definition of animated
forms, the material allure of scale models presents a low-definition appeal, with a focus
on delineation, materiality and figure. By filming and photographing the digitally
produced models we will combine high definition imagery with low definition forms.
The films themselves will be edited to achieve a higher lever of artificiality.
Course Techniques: The class will use both Maya and After Effects as the two main
platforms.
