Description

The focus of the second core Visual Studies seminar is on the application of simulation technologies and digital animation to the representation of the built environment. The course develops interactive models for the production of a cinematic work that focuses on the qualities of materials and on atmospheric effects at different scales. These models, in turn, will become part of each student’s repertoire of aesthetic objects, integral to the development of studio projects. In parallel, students will develop a personal portfolio of work from the first year and submit a Gateway Portfolio at the end of the semester.
